Web app update: another release out!
After several weeks work on incorporating fantastic feedback from our early-bird beta testers (we thank ye kindly!), team Brighter Planet rolled the beta version of our new site into full public view yesterday!
The rest of the day was gratifying indeed. GetSatisfaction feedback and tweets about the app — mostly positive; some offering precise, really valuable points of criticism; a few blasting this or that (valuable too!) — popped up throughout the afternoon. A group ice-cream run was made. (The North Carolina office — that’s me — had to settle for raiding the kids’ animal cookies.) And Jeff Zeldman — founder of Happy Cog, our design partner on this project — had some nice words, as did Happy Cog colleagues Whitney, Aaron, and Naz. Thank you all!! What a great pleasure it’s been, working with such a talented crew.
And now, back to the salt mines; we’ve got our eyes fixed on where we want to take the site, and there’s still a lot of work to do. Expect — in fairly rapid-fire fashion — to see new features, fewer and fewer bugs, and steady improvement to the experience of using the site. And please, please keep the feedback coming.
Next up: a closer look at how your progress managing your own footprint with the Brighter Planet app will generate compelling material for you to share with the world.
