The Brighter Planet Blog

Hello, Brighter Planet community. I’m pleased to introduce myself as the newest member of the Brighter Planet team. I am stepping aboard as the Sustainable Business Strategist, and along with Ian and Robbie I will be part of the new west coast operations here in San Francisco.

Having cut my teeth in the environmental education realm at the Chewonki Foundation, I’m drawn to storytelling, renewable energy and empowering individuals to make a difference. Since graduating from Middlebury College (yes, another!), I’ve worked to start a grassroots educational organization, The Modern Story.

Leading me back to the US was an opportunity to work on integrating sustainability initiatives into large corporations with Saatchi & Saatchi Sustainability, where I was able to continue a form of storytelling through consulting. I love teaching, working closely with groups of people in active, hands-on learning environments. Whether it is in a conference room or on the bank of a river this is where I find opportunity.

I’m inspired by the integrity of both the Brighter Planet community and their model, on and offline. I look forward to using education, technology, and business knowledge to find localized solutions to improving our climate. My ME and VT family roots are also excited to find a connection home to the northeast, ayuh!
